As Hatman is native to the town, everyone knows him well and appreciate his hard work. There is even a groundless assumption that Hatman has accumulated massive fortune through his many years’ selling hats, which can always arouse the interest of notorious thieves and fueling a stealing craze in the town. Crazyman, Badman and Muscularman are in the list of robbers, who won’t miss any opportunities to become rich. Although the government has announced to have introduced advanced technology to the investigation in order to enforce a ban on burglary, they are still at large.
Muscularman who is nothing short of a fearless house breaker is good at breaking anything from windows to doors, but he can’t outcompete Badman when it comes to intelligence because Badman usually comes up with numerous efficient invasive ways to break into a house without triggering an alarm. However, Badman is sometimes at a loss to find the best solution to pressing problems, then he will resort to consulting Crazyman who has untold confidence in his crazy ideas in flash of genius, whether they are feasible or not, but his ideas come into effort when being utilized to inspire Badman’s wicked decision. Since Muscularman gets competitive edge over the other two, he gets a lion’s share of all that their have stolen.
Interestingly, they are Hatman’s old classmates. Hatman was once superior to them in terms of study. They usually escaped from compulsory education for fear of considerable study pressure, getting a F-rank grade in the final semester. They came from wealthy family and was spoiled by his relatives, so they tended to assume that anyone should give them a hand, yet found it impossible in society after their care-free childhood. Since what they can earn was largely in direct proposition with their competence in the world , they were reduced to burglars to earn a living. Hatman, on the contrary, started from scratch and eventually turned into a famous hat maker by his own hands.
Badman initially maintained the determination to deprive Hatman of money, winning aggressive support from the other two. They tracked Hatman without his knowledge to his capital-intensive home. Outside his home was a big bunch of bush, which was an ideal place for thieves to hide in. Three pairs of eyes were glued to the elaborate house with their heart lost to the day dream of having so much money. “What’s your plan, Badman?”asked Muscularman who was always the first to speak. “A hard nut to crack. All the windows and the doors are connected to a large bell by wire. “”So we should return with empty hands?” Muscularman was angrily beating the ground. “Hey guys, I have a crazy idea. We can enter the warehouse beside it.” Crazyman said at the critical moment. “Great! We’ll surely enjoy the night. And action must be consistent with words, so no one will be late, Okay?”
When the owl was hunting for a juicy rat, the three burglar set off to steal shiny treasures. Hatman wasn’t at home because of extra standardized manufacturing, ignorant of the theft. Successfully, they entered the warehouse filled with contemporary commercial products and found a safe there. Full of excitement, they cost all their might to open their safe, only to find a shabby hat passed down by Hatman’s family from generation to generation. “What a shit!” shouted Muscularman in rage. Suddenly, the main door opened, frightening the thieves. It’s Hatman that returned from factory with tire on this face. “It’s you, my old friends!” cried Hatman.”I forgot to close the warehouse door. You see, my memory isn’t as good as before.”
With wine pouring into every thirsty mouth, the burglars felt like they were at home, telling Hatman all that they have ventured. “Hearing your sad experience, I really feel sorry for this. Maybe you can become my employees and live a bright life.” Hatman said. Surely they did receive the decent, safe and well-paid job. Therefore, three names were moved out of the infamous list.
